Setting up an employee's Wage

 

The Wage tab is used to track the base pay of an employee as well as any changes you may make to the base pay. For example, a future raise that an employee may receive is tracked here.

  1. Choose Employees from the navigation list.
  2. Select the employee you wish to work with from the list. If you need to create a new employee use the + New button.
  3. Configured the desired settings for the employee.
  4. Go to the Wages tab.
  5. Under Wage Type, select whether the employee is Hourly or Salaried. If Salaried, enter the amount of Salaried Hours per pay period.
  6. Under the Base Pay section, under Effective Date, single click on the field to set the starting date that the base pay will be calculated.
  7. Under Base Pay, single click on the field to set the amount the employee would be paid per hour starting on the Effective Date.
  8. Add any additional wage changes for the future using the + button.
  9. Once complete, select Save.
